I like to vary my recipes, so these Vegan Champagne Gummies are right up my alley.
If you’ve never used agar flakes, you totally should. It’s sort of like gelatin, except it’s derived from a plant-based source (seaweed). You can find them in speciality grocery stores or on Amazon. I’ve used agar flakes in my faux-Jell-O shots for New Year’s Eve, so they stand the test of time.
While I was at Hobby Lobby, I saw these ADORABLE candy molds. They are bite-sized and chic looking. I plan to make a few other cute creations with them! I sprayed them with a little coconut oil, but to be honest, I don’t think that you even need it. These Vegan Champagne Gummies just slid right out!
You can use any type of berries: I used a combination of vegan maraschino cherries and strawberries. I also added a spoonful of beet powder for colouring.

kcalIngredients
3/4 c. fruit juice (I used apple juice)
1/4 c. champagne
1 c. fruit (I used cherries and strawberries)
5 T. agar flakes
Directions
- Measure the liquid ingredients first, the juice and champagne. Add in the fruit until your liquid reaches the 2 cup marker.
- Pour this mixture into the blender and puree until smooth. Pour it into a small saucepan and heat it over medium-high heat. Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat. Stir in the agar flakes until they are dissolved. Remove the mixture from the heat.
- Pour the mixture into your molds. You can also pour it into a 9×12 baking dish. Place the molds/dish in the refrigerator for 2-4 hours. If you use the baking dish, you can cut shapes, much like Jell-O.
Enjoy these cute and fruity Vegan Champagne Gummies!
Cheers,
